Roles and Responsibilities: BSM QA , Tools Support , TIS Technical Support
Skill & Job Requirements: Tools Support(L3)-Works independently towards providing support for escalated troubleshootingrequirements. Participates and provides inputs towards implementation ofvarious hardware and software policies and procedures / support and maintenance(e.g. Setting up new site / location). May be completely responsible forsystems administration in one small facility. Guides new team members. TIS Technical Support(L2)-Works independently in trouble-shooting and providing technical and developersupport for products / solutions at the client site. Makes changes based onclient specifications and company standards for installations / enhancements.Typically interactions are with systems administration teams at client locationShould be able to handle escalations at the right time to field support / highelevels.Should possess mentring skills to support junior team members.Should have good understanding on the Product lines and associated technologiesShould have good understaing of SLAs for incidents and work on them as definedthe SOPs.Should have indept knowledge on the technologies associated with the Products tare in scope of support .Should have good knowledge & undersanding of technologies like Windows , NetworkStorage , Monitoring and Troubleshooting tools , Database , UNIX etc.Should be able to work independently in analysing root cause of Service Ticktesand escalate them to the right level of support. Follow up for successful closuof the same.Should posses basic system administration skills to hanlde remote monitoring antroubleshooting effectively. BSM QA(L2)-Provides key inputs towards debugging of software productsthrough the use of systematic tests to develop , apply andmaintain quality standards for company products.Develops and provides guidance on the execution of software test plans.Analyses and writes test standards and procedures.Ensures documentation of test results to assist in debuggingand modification of software.Oversees analysis of test results to ensure existing functionalityand recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineersin resolution of problems. Expected to continue to buildupon domain knowledge and technical / proprietary skills toreach levels of industry acknowledgement.Works as a guide and independently sets directions for mediumsized projects of high complexity. Works on problems of highlycomplex scope , through expert usage of non-standard concepts& principles requiring high levels of judgment & interpretation.Determines a course of action , which is then executed by project teams.Can offer multiple solutions to problems through existingand new methodologies and then exercises judgement.
