Job Description:

The Sr. Web Content Publishing Specialist will be responsible for web content publishing and search engine optimization (SEO). This person will be responsible for publishing of content to the website, as well as optimization of content for SEO. The Sr. Web Content Publishing Specialist will assume responsibility of two web content publishing specialists and their work.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Web Publishing
o Proofread and edit web copy for errors and consistency
o Publish content to the website using Sharepoint 2010
* Edit web copy to fit into the web templates
* Publish web copy using the web templates
* Publish images and video
* Publish documents
o Apply permissions and security roles to content and documents
o Update web page content and documents

• Search Engine Optimization
o Proven hands on experience with SEO and SEM - minimum of 1 year experience in SEO & SEM
o Maintain the keyword universe
o Optimizing web content for search engines
* Ensure that:
• metadata contains keywords
• URLs contain keywords
• headings and link text contains keywords
* Edit content to increase the keyword density and keyword weight
* Add keyword rich Alt-text to images
o Off page SEO
* Link building
• Directory submissions
• Managing quality of deliverables of junior publishing specialists


Key metrics for success include:
• Quality and usability of web content
• Adherence to deadlines
• SEO performance

Basic/Required Qualifications:
• Experienced (mid-career) web writer with advanced SEO skills
• Demonstrated project and people management experience
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Bachelors Degree in marketing, business or related field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management and organization skills; attention to details
• Experience with MOSS 2007 and WSS 2.03.0 platform
• Experience with
? creating and managing SharePoint lists and workflows
? use of "out of the box" web parts as well as custom web parts
• Experience in publishing content using a CMS platform like Sharepoint, Documentum etc..
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Word
• Experience in social media and communities
• Exposure to ecommerce

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiar with

• Experience in online marketing - digital agency background preferred
• Good to have: 2 year experience as a team lead
